so let’s get down with
a bit of etymology–

I don’t usually LIKE it!

they tell me upfront,
bracing for some
sort of Ode.
Tough sell, indeed!
Even for those who
have their
way with words,

is difficult to embrace/
so deliberately obscure!
You’d think it were trying to
compensate somehow.
Talk may be cheap,
but words?
Are free!
If only we knew what to say,
rummaging about in the
chameleon bucket
on the tip of my
There!
the
Product and the Process are
the same?
Shifted time // shifted space
State of mind?
Willing! (would be a good start)
to know it when
you see it
keeps making
even once it’s made
to say what you
thought you meant to
say, having sought and distilled
the truth, absolute!
shining light upon a distinct
character set
wherein visuals find
tongue enough to verbalize
the shape of the rhythm
when someone doth
say–
I don’t usually like Poetry…
but I like this.
