Exciting news!

My FITNESS FOR POETS weekly poem has become

True Potential

True Potential

At winter’s end
in the forest for the trees
stark naked stalks
devoid of leaf
show clearly where you
are right now —

Not yet? Not quite?
have you
lived UP to every
expectation placed to
harness harvest dare not
waste the precious
Great
they said it
was your task to

Realize?
not as an end that once
achieved leaves nothing
more for which to
reach

Into your promise!
deep inside lies
potent strength to be
applied to That

which never was
but now shall be

Another piece!
collected works complete,
O sweet sigh
at the end of your life
that is to say
your death shall be

Naturally!

the result of
having lived UP
all of that potential.
