Mother of Invention

Mother of Invention

YOU
are the Mother of Invention
when it comes to creation

a basic necessity!
of time well spent transcending
typical order escalating Form
from inside out of your
mind, headstrong!

YOU
started it!
this ornery conception
now pointing fingers refusing
to comply so keen to cut
the cord and launch!

snuggly into bed under
the guise of crisp cool sheets
wriggling giggling
just out of reach!
You lunge for your squeeze
and it leaps, triumphant!
so happy to be

free of you
for good ??
Gracious!
Necessity

demands
this wriggly invention
first withstand
: a few more tweaks
: another round or two?
: could be years
: for true refinement but

Do!
take this hug for when
your baby invention

sets out, headstrong!
from the center of yours
to change the World.
