Studio? this week
is a park bench sticking to
my seat by the centrifugal force
of extreme global heat
War & imminent illness threaten,
a constant menace
Collides!

with my travel exhaustion
& finicky kid wiles gone wildly
divergent syllables stressed
to inflation our time table laden
with drinks & sweets : salty cheeses
& meats to stuff our pleasure in
this

adult endeavor to capture the ghosts
who remember us
:
as we were before
what have you become?
all these years apart
what have you done?
it won’t be long now

shadows lengthen
on the snuggle bundle squeeze
to which we seek return to
even tighter
bind the promise pleads

Still alive!
is enough

for everything to stay
Like this : as it is

the Same
can never change
what we have right now
clearly
it’s something of a pressure
to appreciate
:
this

is our present!
